A: The Filler bags are made from the same tough material as the sandbag shell. They have a patent-pending military specification double velcro design, to keep sand off of you and your floor. The Filler Bags come in 2 sizes - Small (12 KG Max Capacity) and Large (20 KG Max Capacity). Both the Athlete and Strongman Sandbags come complete with the required Filler Bags but they are also available to purchase separately.
Fillers bags are filled with the desired lifting weight, and placed inside the sandbag shell. It is not recommended to over-flll your filler bags past capacity- the sand needs room to shift for the best possible training session, and to avoid bursting the filler bag. Filler bags can also be used outside of the sandbag shell to train with also.
A: Brute Force Sandbags are built tough for your training needs and with the idea that they will last you a very long time. You get what you pay for. I honestly don’t want you calling me a few months later because your sandbag broke from normal training. If you buy another sandbag from us, I want it to be because you want a different size, or because your buddy ran away with yours. Our sandbags are made from Military-Grade Cordura and are designed to last.
A: No. All of our sandbags are provided un-filled. Sand is very easy to get hold of - a builders merchant, garden centre or hardware store is normally the best place to purchase it at a very affordable price. In the UK it is easy to purchase 25 KG of sand for around £2. If we were to provide the bags filled, the postage would be prohibitively expensive for you.

A No. Sandbag training can be much more difficult. This is why it has become so popular in Crossfit, underground gyms, MMA gyms and with the military. The sand shifts inside of the fillers, making it a different lift each time you pick it up. You are training with a “live” weight. You will have to fight and struggle each time you lift. There is no “groove” you can find, and it will never be centered or balanced. This is what makes it such an effective and fun method of training.
A: The Brute Force Sandbag is incredibly versatile and there are literally hundreds of exercises to perform with it. The variety of handles also opens up a range of options not available with a handle-less bag. For ideas, inspiration and training programmes please see the links below:

A: It will vary depending upon your location but we ask you to allow up to 3 weeks for your order to arrive.
A: Homemade bags fall apart too easily, resulting in a sand-bath for either you or your floor (Trust me, I know.) Chances are, after this happens once, you’ll ditch the idea of sandbag training altogether. In practical terms, the handles are particularly useful for high pulls, farmers walks and snatches. Both open and closed grip exercises are important in training so the handle also accomplishes this. The Brute Force Sandbag opens up many new options. It’s like comparing a log with an olympic bar – same principles, different outcomes.
A: Cordura is the brand name of the fabric we use - a super strong product designed for it's durability and resistance to tearing. Our Cordura is Military-Grade 1100D. We use this material to ensure that you get many years of use out of your product.
A: We only use 1100D Military-Grade Cordura in the production of both our Athlete and Strongman Sandbags. The Athlete Sandbag is identical to the Strongman - just smaller. Imagine 2 Strongman Sandbags mating - the Athlete Sandbag would be their child.
A: Yes. Wash it on cold, remove, and let air dry. If there is any area that is frayed, simply run a lighter over the area to burn off the excess thread.
